Project description

The project involved expanding an existing process plant and a green field process plant.

The existing process plant was to be expanded with raw milk silos, a pasteurisation plant for raw milk and cream plus a buffer for storage of skimmed milk and cream. The pasteurisation plant for raw milk included a ceramic filtration plant for processing of the skimmed milk. A CIP plant was also supplied for the overall milk processing plant.

The green field process plant was to consist of high technology unit operations such as a filtration and electrodialysis plant for fractioning and cleaning plus a process plant for pasteurisation and heat treatment, process integration as well as a CIP plant.

The process

The project was managed overall by project managers who handled the scope of supplies, the project economy, a time schedule, safety coordination and documentation, including CE marking.

The project was separated into the areas process & electricity/automation and construction and supply plants.

We provided consultancy in the field of process & electricity relating to process plants, electricity supply and the overall safety coordination and CE marking. The project manager from Process Engineering reported to the project manager for the field of process & electricity/automation with reference to the overall project manager and steering group.
