Safety barrier in shipping warehouse
Project description
Installation of a safety barrier in a shipping warehouse featuring a layout that allows people to safely work in the warehouse while it is operating.
The assignment involved establishing an access system which means that the cranes and the shelving system stop when people need to access the warehouse. The access system was also to limit people’s access to the warehouse through the paths where the goods are placed in the warehouse and taken out of the warehouse.
The process
Process Engineering’s project manager was responsible for the project economy, the scope of deliveries, the time schedule, the tender material, purchasing, reception of goods, inspection, test, control, safety coordination, documentation and CE marking.
The project was separated into the areas process, electricity and automation, and the project manager reported to the customer’s key people.
